Matěj and Vojta meet in Chambéry, France. They bond over shared passions: nature and innovation. They realise they’ve got a common desire to combine technology, sustainability, and modern lifehacks to help the world. They just don’t know how. Yet!
While travelling the world, Matěj and Vojta notice a recurring pattern: streets full of cars with just the driver as the only passenger. Meanwhile, companies are facing contradictory demands — to increase their parking space while reducing emissions.
Yedem’s predecessor is born: HitchMe. Vojta a Matěj believe they’ve created more than just a brand — they see it as a global initiative to change company parking and commuting. Forever.
HitchMe’s growth stalls due to Covid pandemic. Everything is remote and people are hesitant to get in a car with somebody else.
Despite the pandemic, HitchMe secures major clients. Then rebrands to Yedem.
Deciding to fully commit to their side hustle, Vojta and Matěj leave their day-to-day jobs. First big successes on the Czech market follow, and Yedem hooks up with big brands like IKEA, MOL, Kiwi, Productboard, and others.
